On 24 October 2024, BRICS officially added 13 new countries to the BRICS group as partner countries (not full members). New partner countries included in the BRICS group - Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Algeria, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Turkey, Uganda and Uzbekistan.
