In October 2024, former Indian women's cricketer Neetu David (left-arm spinner), along with England's Alastair Cook and South Africa's AB de Villiers, was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame for 2024.

She became the second female cricketer from India (114th player overall) to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. Neetu David is also the first female player from India to take 100 wickets in the 50-over format.

She holds the record of taking 8 wickets for 53 runs in a Test match innings. The first female cricketer from India to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame was Diana Edulji.

President Murmu's African visit from 13-17 October 2024 included stops in Algeria (Algiers), Mauritania (Nouakchott), and Malawi (Lilongwe).
