The Madhya Pradesh government has approved the "Brindavan Gram" and "Gita Bhavan" schemes:
1) Brindavan Gram: Aims to transform selected gram panchayats into model villages, with a focus on cow protection and rural development.
2) Gita Bhavan: Plans to establish one Gita Bhavan in each urban body across the state to promote spiritual knowledge. Currently, Madhya Pradesh has only one Gita Bhavan, located in Indore.
On September 1, 2024, President Draupadi Murmu approved the formation of the 23rd Law Commission for a term of three years, from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2027.
The Commission will consist of a full-time chairman, four full-time members (including a member-secretary), a secretary, ex-officio members from the Department of Legal Affairs and the Legislative Department, and a maximum of five part-time members.
